Imagination Zone (IZONE)
History of the Program
IZONE began as a vision of Mr. Delaney, the longtime principal of Delaney Elementary. It was his goal to offer an affordable, quality, after-school program for the students of Kennedale ISD.
He envisioned a program in which students were able to stay in an environment in which they felt safe and comfortable - their home campus. A program that would accommodate all students and would offer scholarships to make sure that every child had the opportunity to attend.
He sought out certified teachers and district staff who were familiar with the students and their individual needs. These staff members would work one on one with students, helping with homework needs and offering an extended, enriching curriculum.
Our program not only provides children with enriched activities and structure once the school day ends, but we also enable families to maintain normal workday hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
